Short explanation for skippers: digital signing

How does digital signing work?

The terminal uploads a file and initiates a signing request. The terminal itself also signs the document digitally (if desired).

Step 1: Start signing (as skipper)

There are two options to start signing.

Option 1) Follow the instructions in the email you’ve received

Option 2) Log in to UAB-Online and click on the file you would like to sign

Click the ‘sign’ button:

Step 2: Sign

After clicking the button, the website opens where you can view the document and sign (or decline with an explanation).

Step 3: Download file

After signing, you will receive the signed file by e-mail. The document is also archived for 14 days, the same way as the announcement in UAB-Online.
