Pre-arrival process via UAB-Online

UAB-Online is the alternative to endless mailing back and forth via the agent.

Communication via our application replaces:

• Pre-arrival questionnaire
• Paper version of the ISGOTT 6 SSSCL
• E-mail / paper dossier (We offer a digital platform in order to exchange and sign other relevant documents)

In order to comply with legislation and regulations (ISGOTT 6), many terminals use UAB-Online to guarantee this process. Below is an explanation of the process:

Pre-arrival process

You will receive a request for whitelisting (optional)

For ships without ‘free internet’, it is not always possible to visit UAB-Online directly. To do this, a number of domains must be added to the whistelist. To facilitate this process and to give you the time to prepare, we aim to receive an email from UAB-Online approximately three days prior to arrival with more information about the required whitelisting.

If you do not have ‘free internet’, please pass the information on to the relevant department in good time. In this way we ensure that the pre-arrival process can run smoothly.

You will receive an invitation to fill in the pre-arrival information online

The terminal initiates the process by sharing the terminal’s pre-arrival information and invites the ship to complete the questionnaire in the application.

You receive an invitation email from the agent/terminal to fill in the pre-arrival information via UAB-Online.

The email contains a link to the application. At the first use you will be given the option to create a password and then fill in and complete the pre-arrival. In addition, in the application you have the option to download the Terminal Information Booklet and other documents.

The online dossier has been created

The online dossier is now ready. In this online dossier, documents can be exchanged, and the terminal can start a Ship Shore Safety Checklist, operational arrangement or terminal specific documents.

After filling in the pre-arrival information, one online dossier is created that is accessible to all stakeholders.

Various actions can be taken from the online dossier:

• Exchanging documents
• Generate an SSSCL
• Generate an Operational Arrangement and terminal specific documents

During the visit

Digital exchange of documents

Via the online file you can request and exchange documents with the terminal. All documents remain available in the dossier and are accessible to the surveyor and the agent. When your account is linked to your shipping company, the shipping company also has direct insight.

Digital Ship Shore Safety Checklist

In order to make the process as efficient as possible, the SSSCL is prepared using the pre-arrival information previously entered.

Completing the SSSCL is initiated and supervised from the terminal.

Depending on the terminal, there are three standard options:

• The SSSCL is jointly completed digitally (on one device)or
• The SSSCL is pre-completed via the online dossier shared with you. You can print, fill in and return the document via the application
• The SSSCL is printed and continues as a printed document.

UAB-Online is continuously developing and improving the online portal, we are currently working on the expansion of the digital process by adding more ship functionality.

Digital operational arrangement and other terminal specific documents

In order to make the process as efficient as possible, the documents are prepared using the pre-arrival information previously entered.

Filling out the document is initiated and guided from the terminal.

Depending on the terminal, there are three standard options:

• The documents are jointly completed digitally and signed (on one device).or
• The documents are pre-completed via the online file and shared with you. You can print, fill in and return the document via the application.or
• The documents are printed and continues as a printed document.
