Standic Dordrecht and Antwerp Adopt UAB-Online for Digital Shipping Operations
In order to improve the effectiveness of liquid bulk handling operations, Standic terminals in Antwerp and Dordrecht integrated UAB-Online as of October 1st, 2024. Both terminals, specialised in chemicals, oil, and biofuels, are now using the UAB-Online for the pre-arrival process for both seagoing vessels and inland barges.
For seagoing vessels, Standic is using the digital SSSCL (Ship-Shore Safety Checklist) checklist, which is part of the ISGOTT 6. The SSSCL digitises the operational and safety inspections required during vessel operations. By streamlining the operations, the terminal and the vessels crew can communicate more easily and quickly. Furthermore, the VOW (pre-arrival announcement) and CDNI are used for inland barges to cut down on paperwork and enhancing environmental standards. By lowering the possibility of human error and the administrative burden, this digitisation improves sustainability and overall safety at both terminals.
A significant step in modernising Standic's operations has been made with the addition of UAB-Online to its terminals. Real-time coordination and quicker decision-making between the terminal and the vessel and barges are made possible via the SaaS platform's simplification of the pre-arrival proicess.
About Standic Dordrecht and Antwerp
Standic operates two advanced terminals in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, and one in Antwerp, Belgium, strategically located in major European ports. Standic Dordrecht is a key player in the storage of chemicals, biofuels, and oil products, offering extensive storage capacity and high-end infrastructure for their clients. Similarly, Standic Antwerp is a modern, state-of-the-art terminal serving a broad range of liquid bulk products. Both terminals are recognised for their high standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.
Streamlined Digital Operations with UAB-Online
The platform of UAB-Online provides Standic and its stakeholders with a number of benefits. By lowering the chance of mistakes or delays, the digital SSSCL module helps guarantee that all safety checks are carried out precisely and quickly. The VOW and CDNI modules, on the other hand, facilitate regulatory compliance and enhance communication between inland barges and the terminal. By using UAB-Online, Standic is proactively undergoing digital transformation and establishing a new standard for efficiency and safety in the liquid bulk industry.
