Moving agribulk through a port takes more than terminal capacity and transport connections. It takes people across the supply chain working from clear information: what is arriving, what needs to happen next and who is responsible. That coordination is the conversation UAB-Online is bringing to the European Commodities Exchange (ECE) in Rotterdam.

On 5 and 6 November 2026, we will join the Rotterdam agribulk community at Rotterdam Ahoy as part of the Port of Rotterdam Agri Pavilion. You will find us at stand D.1 in Hall 1, alongside companies involved in handling, storage, chartering and inland shipping. For visitors, it is an opportunity to meet several links in the chain in one place—and discuss how better connections between them can support daily operations.

The European agribulk sector meets in Rotterdam

The 66th European Commodities Exchange will bring together around 4,000 professionals from across Europe's grain and animal-feed sectors. Over two days, the event offers space to maintain existing relationships, meet new partners and exchange perspectives on developments affecting the industry.

For UAB-Online, the value of that gathering lies in the range of people around the table. Commercial decisions and operational requirements are closely connected, but the people responsible for them do not always have the same view of a vessel visit or cargo movement. An exchange such as ECE creates room to discuss those different perspectives directly.

Rotterdam provides a relevant setting for that conversation. The pavilion connects the event with the companies working across the port's agribulk chain, from activity at the quay to onward transport into the European hinterland. It brings the practical side of moving commodities into the discussion alongside trade and market developments.

One pavilion, connected perspectives

The Port of Rotterdam Agri Pavilion is a joint initiative of Port of Rotterdam and Rotterdam Port Promotion Council (RPPC). Its collective approach reflects something familiar to anyone working in bulk logistics: no single organisation controls every step of the journey.

UAB-Online will participate alongside Bargelink, C. Steinweg – Handelsveem, Coöperatie NPRC, HES Bulk Terminal Maasdelta, Marcor Stevedoring, Maruna Bevrachting, Operium Solutions, Particuliere Transport Coöperatie, Rijnmond Logistics and ZHD Stevedores.

That combination gives visitors a chance to explore a question from more than one angle. A discussion about a vessel arrival, for example, may involve terminal preparation, cargo handling, inspection and the next transport movement. Each party has its own responsibilities, but their plans depend on information from others.

Being part of the pavilion places digital coordination within that wider operational context. The starting point is not technology in isolation. It is how the organisations involved can work together more clearly.

Connecting the people behind bulk operations

UAB-Online is a Software-as-a-Service platform for dry and liquid bulk shipping. It connects stakeholders including terminals, stevedores, operations teams, planners, inspection companies, ship agents, cargo owners and traders around shared processes.

Our focus at ECE is the coordination between those stakeholders. A vessel visit involves information, documents and decisions passing between organisations. The useful question is whether the people responsible can find what they need and understand what still requires attention.

Consider a change to an expected arrival. The change itself may be straightforward, but its implications differ for a planner, an operations team and an inspection company. A useful digital process should support those responsibilities rather than simply create another place to send a message.

That is the perspective we want to bring to discussions at the pavilion: looking at the work people need to complete, the information they rely on and the points where coordination becomes difficult. Clearer processes begin with understanding those practical details.

Meet us at stand D.1

The pavilion's message, “Building the future together”, has a practical meaning for bulk logistics. Physical infrastructure, transport services and digital coordination need to support the same chain. Bringing the people behind them together is a good place to start.
